Massive Gas Cylinder Blast Sparks Fierce Fire at Balasore Restaurant; Nearby Vehicles Gutted

BALASORE, KALINGA SAMBAD:

A devastating fire erupted at a restaurant situated on the bustling OT Road in Balasore, causing widespread panic in the area. The blaze, characterized by fierce, roaring flames, engulfed the entire eatery within a matter of minutes, leaving behind a trail of heavy destruction.

According to preliminary reports, the terrifying inferno was triggered by a sudden gas cylinder explosion inside the restaurant's premises. The loud blast alerted nearby shopkeepers, pedestrians, and residents, who witnessed thick plumes of black smoke and towering flames erupting from the building.

The intensity of the fire was so severe that it rapidly breached the restaurant's boundaries and spread to the adjacent exterior spaces. Several two-wheelers and vehicles parked near the establishment were caught in the massive blaze and completely gutted before any preventive measures could be taken.

Upon receiving information about the incident, local police and fire brigade personnel immediately rushed to the scene. Firefighters launched a massive operation to douse the roaring flames and prevent the inferno from spreading to neighboring shops and commercial complexes on the crowded OT Road.

Traffic on the arterial road was temporarily halted, and the area was cordoned off to facilitate the firefighting and rescue operations. While properties worth lakhs are estimated to have been destroyed, official confirmation regarding any casualties or injuries is still awaited. Authorities have initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the explosion and subsequent fire.
