Horror in Delhi: 16-Year-Old Minor Gang-Raped in Moving Bus; Driver & Conductor Arrested

NEW DELHI (Kalinga Sambad): In a horrific incident that raises serious questions about women's safety on public transport, a 16-year-old minor girl was subjected to a brutal gang-rape inside a moving bus in the national capital. The incident took place on the night of August 4, following which the police took swift action and arrested the accused driver and conductor. According to reports, the survivor is a Class 11 student. The teenager had reportedly left her home in Manipur in a fit of anger and travelled to Uttar Pradesh to meet a relative. Finding herself stranded late at night in UP, she was waiting for a bus to reach her destination.

During this time, an empty sleeper bus approached her at Pari Chowk. The driver and conductor of the bus lured the minor by offering her a lift, promising to drop her safely at her designated stop. Trusting them, the young girl boarded the vehicle. However, the journey quickly turned into a nightmare. As the bus travelled from Pari Chowk toward Kashmere Gate in Delhi, both the driver and the conductor allegedly took turns to gang-rape the minor inside the moving vehicle. After committing the heinous crime, the accused abandoned the traumatized teenager near Kashmere Gate and fled the scene. Following a complaint, the police immediately registered a case and initiated a probe. Both the accused driver and conductor were tracked down and apprehended. Furthermore, the police have seized the bus involved in the crime and sent it for a detailed forensic examination to gather crucial scientific evidence. Further investigation into the matter is currently underway to ensure strict punishment for the culprits.
